The tyranny of authority is trading with farmers, depriving them of freedom and identity

 

Farmers in El Horeya village, Monshat Abdel Rahman and the surrounding villages in Dekerness – Daqahleya were surprised with policemen from Dekerness police station arresting dozens of them on the grounds that they amount to meet the administration costs of exchange for the draft drainage of their lands and the proceeds collected by the real estate taxes for ten years after the people refused to pay the amounts due to the lack of knowledge of the project, and not involved in planning at the outset of the design and implementation on the other.
The Land Center presented an application to the Directorate of property taxes to stop the collection of amounts as an obligation to the law. As the Center's application No. 2251, dated 24/11/2008, includes the village farmers complaints, who are affected by fraud, as the exchange company specializing in the work of drainages started working with high costs without the advice and consent of the peasants and the farmers.
The various bodies rejected to stop the seizure of the peasants and continued to take the money of peasants and peasant women without the right of which confirms the continuation of the policies of the State in the privatization of public services and collection of fees and costs of projects of public citizens in contravention of the provisions of the law and the Constitution, which called on the center of the land to appeal the decision of the President of the exchange covered by the revocation of the invalid and in violation of the law and the constitution of 2987 under No. 25 and a judicial perspective in front of the Administrative Judicial Court Mansoura The appeal said the drainage of the State represented in the drainage costs from the state budget as a draft and not a special project is not entitled to claim the costs of project personnel in the by the State. The right to water should not be traded under the pretext of collecting maintenance costs or resources.
Consequently, the authority to claim reimbursement of the costs of the project is contrary to the Constitution and the law and should be dismissed as the resolution null and non-existent, corrupt and lacking of legitimacy.
The Center called in its appeal for an end of the implementation of the decision of the President of the Covered Drainage against the people of El Horeya village and Monshat Abd Al-Rahman claiming the costs of the drainage project.
Finally, the Center calls the Ministers of Irrigation, Agriculture and the Interior and the Attorney General of the need to issue their decisions to stop the imprisonment of both male and female farmers in El Horeya village and Monshat Abd Al-Rahman and the seizure of their properties to meet the costs of the drainage project.
The Center also calls the civil society organizations and members of the local people's congresses for the need to organize a campaign to stop the trafficking of the rights of both male and female peasants and stop their imprisonment to ensure their right to equality, security, freedom and a dignified life.
