Corruption and discrimination policies lead to the deterioration of the education process in Egypt

The Land Center for human rights received complaints from more than thirty-five employees of the School of the Educational Academy of Rashid which is located in the city of Rashid, Behera Governorate, calling for the elimination of injustice that has fallen on their school. The school had been nominated for the School Excellence Awards, due to their commitment and their efforts in implementing the rules, conditions, exercises and activities necessary for providing a good education for students.
They have been working on closing the gaps in order to solve the problems of the school, in spite of the small resources and capabilities offered to them by the Ministry of Education. The teachers, students, and employees of the school interacted with the conditions of the award in order to give the best results, which indeed entitled the school to win the best awards, due to their efforts, based on the testimony of all the central committees, which visited the school on a regular basis. But despite this, the rules and evaluation results were manipulated, and the school was removed from the competition and replaced by another school, despite the fact that the School of the Educational Academy of Rashid has excelled in its work and received all the awards of School Excellence, which led to the frustration of the school employees and to the leaving of a negative impression among the students and teachers, as their efforts were ignored.
The LCHR asserts that what happened leads to the deepening of corruption within the values of society, and contributes to the deterioration of the quality and values of education.
The LCHR presents the complaints of the employees, teachers and students of the School of the Educational Academy of Rashid to the Prime Minister and the Minister of Education urging them to re-do the evaluation and inspection process, uphold the principles of justice and fairness, correct any wrong conditions, and punish the corrupt who manipulated the results of the School Excellence Awards, for the sake of implementing the rules of equality between schools, and in order to respect the efforts of some of the employees of the Ministry and ensure the right to a good education, in our beloved Egypt.
