Bany Swief Workers Call For Help Why doesn't the government help them against the tyranny of the owners of Sharq El Nil Cement Factory?

The LCHR has received complaints from some citizens in Ghayada area and the workers of Sharq El Nil Cement Factory complaining about the factory's harmful policies that have caused a wide environmental pollution and caused some of them to have lung petrifaction and skin diseases because the factory disposes of its wastes illegally and neglecting any environmental safety procedures. The complaints also state that the factory owners have arbitrary fired several workers although they were doing their job efficiently.
Regarding these law violating actions practiced by the factory, the LCHR presented the complaints of these workers and citizens to the factory owners but they didn't respond.
So, the LCHR presented these complaints to Bany Swief governor who formed a committee to follow up the problem, which has proved all the violations committed by the factory owners and filed report no. 76842 for the year 2007. the committee sent a warning to the factory administration stating the necessity of guaranteeing workers' rights especially to social security and healthcare and obligating it to provide the workers with work registered work contracts that also guarantee their rights to holidays, fair fees, specific work hours and overtime and against injury.
Despite this, the factory administration still practices their violations against the workers and the surrounding environment, and lately they fired 8 workers without any justifications.
LCHR wonders, what could the people and workers do against the tyranny of the factory administration and its actions that have reached 13 violations? Why does the factory administration insist on violating the law?
LCHR demands Bany Swief governor, the Minister of Manpower and the Ministry of Environment to protect the rights of these workers and citizens and obligate the factory administration to implement the demands stated in the governorate's committee report, as the government is lagging when it comes to dealing with the violations big owners.
LCHR also calls all civil society organizations to unite in solidarity with the demands of these workers and citizens to guarantee their rights to safety, fair fees and a clean environment.
