A discussion annulus about the farmers’ role in facing violence in the countryside – Ezbet El Bayda – El Sharqeya

The Land Center has held a symposium in Ezbet El Bayda – El Sharqeya province at the 20th of July 2004.
The symposium has discussed the farmers role in facing violence and the necessity of unifying the farmers to face this violence.
Farmers have presented the last and previous events in the village and how their conditions have become after being evicted from their lands and became without any work and didn’t have any compensation.
They have also discussed the hard, rough and cruel methods and manners that they are treated with by the security foundations.
And the Center has discussed with the farmers the importance of forming a bond or a union to protect their rights, from which we can mention:
-The right in establishing a syndicate for the agrarian workers.
-The right in establishing an agrarian cooperation.
-The right in safe land possession.
-The right in a suitable livelihood condition.
