283 Health insurance to ensure the future security In a meeting held by the LCHR on 5/6/2010 with forty workers from different companies, a long with a number of NGOs interested in the rights of workers, the meeting discussed the importance of health insurance for workers in Egypt to ensure a decent life for the families of workers and to improve their work and their needs. The meeting confirms that the government has stepped up its efforts to finalize the draft health insurance again and also launched it (the health insurance law comprehensive social), which is a step forward towards the development of Egyptian society, the first time link the new law between the health insurance system and between systems and social insurance laws of the list. However, given the terms of the new law, we find that ravaged the social and economic rights acquired by the several categories of the Egyptian people covered many of the laws over many years more than half a century to enter the health insurance under the new law within the privatization policy adopted by the regime in Egypt. Article (4) of the Act regarding the health insurance Law No. 79 of 1975 and Act 32 of 1975 and Act 99 for the year 1992 highlight its vulnerability and inability to provision the service provided by the law, let alone development, but emphasize that what is offered now will be provided under the new law without developing real. No law shall determine the form and nature of disasters and personal health. The determination of rate and cases are covered by the decision of the Prime Minister with a report by the Ministers of Health and Solidarity and thus affect the balance of the Fund, and this is a dangerous sign that diseases such as cancer, hepatitis and heart failure that require money to be treated will become out of insurance coverage in clear violation of what stipulated by the World Health Organization concerning the disaster personal as cases related to the ability of the family to pay for health care; is spending any health over 40% of family income disastrous, regardless of the nature of the disease or being chronically ignored the new law to talk about cases of partial or total disability of patients and medical committees that determine disability under social legislation, which threatens the future of both paid staff working under the umbrella of insurance when you hit any kind of deficit. We call for the meeting of human rights organizations to stand against these laws and invite the trade unions, government departments and agencies, newspapers, and people's deputies to discuss them, and to stand against the passage and the preparation of alternative laws to ensure citizens have the right to health care. |
