Fayoum Agricultural Association Campaigns are organized to receive subsidized fertilizer from agriculture

The Land Centre for Human Rights held a number of meetings in El Fayoum Governorate as a part of completing the establishment of trade unions and training for farmers to organize and manage their work and managing campaigns in order to improve their situation in safe agriculture and decent living.
The first meeting was in the village of Kouta Karun in the province of Saint Yusuf and was attended by dozens of farmer men and women, whom their lands were taken by force by the former Minister of Agriculture Youssef Wali who imprisoned dozens of peasants and forced them to sign compromises, although they had received those lands from the land reform since 1966.
The meeting discussed the current situations in Egypt after the 25th of January, the role of citizens in standing against the spread corruption in the countryside and purging the country of the deceitful who steal people's rights without mercy to prevail security and equality.
The peasants agreed on organizing the Association of peasants to defend their rights and recover all of the lands from the corrupt lackeys of the former regime and their relatives, and start planning for the receipt of shares of compost from the Ministry of Agriculture.
Then the second meeting was held in the village of Al abaadiah and it was attended by dozens of farmers. The meeting discussed the steps and the procedures needed for the ownership of land to squatters, the land reform participated in a conspiracy with some members of the family of the former minister and seized them, but the influence and power of the former minister and his relatives made them seize land by force without the obligation of law or clemency for the producers and used methods of torture to force the people to sign on the extradition of the land to the corrupted.
After January 25th, the farmers regained their lands again and agreed to form a committee to protect them from thugs and they stressed on the need to clean the country of corruption and the corrupted, try them and recover the looted seized rights of farmers to ensure the rights of the farmers in a homeland free from oppression and corruption to ensure the right to a fair distribution of wealth and power for all its citizens.
