Egyptian protests and rebellions against tyranny in modern history
The LCHR held a Seminar about "The protests and rebellions of the Egyptians against tyranny in modern history" on Thursday 27/5/2010 from two o'clock until six in the evening. The symposium was attended by twenty-one farmers, lawyers and representatives of some NGOs and rural areas of the governorates of Cairo, Fayoum, Qalubia, Daqahlia, Kafr El-Sheikh, Giza, Menya and the 6th of October.
The meeting discussed the current protests that spread dramatically in most of our provinces and villages. It reviewed the stages of Egyptian rebellions and protests of modern history and its role in building a culture of resistance to the Egyptians during the reign of the Ottomans. It stressed the need to use history as a pillar of resistance and struggle against tyranny and injustice at the moment.
The participants agreed on the need to hold such periodical meetings of its importance to improve the conditions of our country and our lives. The meeting included a selection of the various parties to reach a national project to help the Egyptians to stand up and rebuild their free country full of just, wealth, power and safety.
