Jesuit school students in Land Center They ask for purifying the heart and the country from pollution, embezzlement and robbery

Land center held, on 16th November, 2009, a seminar about "how to protect our country from pollution" with 2o students of Jesuit school on the center headquarter. The seminar started by a speech of Mr. Karam Jaber, Director of land center, where he defined the message of the center that aims to support and back small farmers, workers, fishermen, woman, and minors who work in agricultural field. He discussed also how legal support contributed in legal support; mobilization; awareness; training; monitoring violations; studying conditions of countryside, attempting to promote circumstances of some villages in countryside; and to ensure the rights of farmers to safely possess agricultural lands, and their humanitarian rights in decent life and safety.
Then, Dr. Mohammed El-Fateh, from Fateh A'dlan organization in Sudan, spoke about the organization experience in forming teams to clean villages from pollution, the organization support to youth and small farmers, and rehabilitating youth, in order to improve their situations and their choices. Then students spoke about the role of individual and government in cleaning cities, villages, and streets. They mentioned the importance of cleaning our country from corruption and bribes, and the need to judge and punish violators. Seminar discussed, also, causes of the outbreak of pollution crises in our country, and the need for all quarters to contribute in eliminating this negative phenomenon.
Students referred to the importance of exploiting science, technology, and students' skills in contribution to enhance conditions of Egypt.
Students referred also to the need to stop losing agricultural lands, or setting them aside, and the need to develop the agriculture sector and increase the area of agriculture lands to provide food, eliminate air pollution, and secure job opportunities for farmers and their families. Discussions pointed to the importance of role of awareness and media in organizing and managing those campaigns, in order to develop our country, and offer positive samples to citizens.
Discussions ended with urging students to form working groups to clean Faggala neighborhood, adjacent to their school, with a help from Land Center, under the slogan "let's clean our inside with our own hands to prevent pollution around us in home, work, street, school, agricultural lands, villages and cities". The youth asked the center to co-ordinate with them to support their ideas in cleaning the neighborhood of Faggala, and protecting it from pollution. And, therefore, Egypt can be a country free from pollution and poverty.
