Deteriorating conditions of the Egyptians, and the regime: How do protests and strikes lead to the change of the lives of the Egyptians to the better

Land Center for Human Rights held a workshop at the center headquarters, with the attendance of 60 participants from different governorates that represent different society sectors.
Proceedings started by the speech of Mr. Osama El-Sheikh, who clarified the reason of choosing that title for the workshop, and the importance of understanding the ideology of the people. He referred also to the way the government charges the people with the government own mistakes, so it is for the legislatures who are appointed by the government itself.
First session was held with Fared Zahran, chairman of Al-Mahrousa center, as a chairman. Mr. Zahran discussed the possibility of change; its barriers, mechanisms and pre-change period.
Then, Dr. Ahmed Al-Ahwany, the member of 9th March group for Universities independence, spoke. Dr. Al-Ahwany warned from the analysts' dealing with the dilemma of change as a phenomenon that represents Egyptian people's chronicle disability to change.
Then Mr. Abdel Aziz Al-Husseiny, public coordinator for Kefaya movement, spoke, considering the current case of change an inevitable issue. He illustrated that it can be achieved via three steps: 1) Breaking the fear siege. 2) Demanding the civil rights stated in international organizations. 3) Forming strong syndicates.
Then, Dr. Bahey El-Din Hussein, director of Cairo Center for Human rights, spoke. He asserted that change, that is going to happen, shall differ from all expected scenarios. He also referred to the existence of a real change that was beneficiary only to businessmen and the government.
The paper- prepared by Ahmed Baha' El-Din Shaaban, One of Kefaya movement founders, and presented by Abdullah Al-Ma'mon, researcher in Land center for Human Rights- included three parts:
Stage of social and political movement. 2) Notices about the current movement. 3) If this movement couldn't help to solve the crisis, what can be the solution then?
1) In the second session, Fat-h Allah Mahrous Ahmed, the member of coordinative committee for syndicates' freedom, headed the session. At the session, Mr. Ahmed Seif El-Islam, the chairman of Hisham Mubarak Center for Law, spoke. He asserted that many voters doubted the elections, saying that it was corrupted. Then, Mr. Abdel Aziz Jamal din, a researcher and a historian of the Egyptian culture, spoke. He asserted that national unity is the only hope for this nation, whatever the expenses are. He referred to the need to the cultural and economical reforms and to get rid of bureaucracy. He asserted that the government is in the favor of the order and against chaos, and there must be decentralization for the country, not federalism.
Contributions of the attendants reflected the need to put a strategy for the change that satisfies Egyptians' demands. Contributions also revealed the need to restructure the community, the laws and the syndicates as a first step for change.
