Training courses in reproductive health for women and rural women leaders in Nekla’s youth center

The Land Center For Human Rights, in association with the World Physicians Association, holds a training program on “reproductive health” for rural women leaders, teachers, local leaders and members of the Local Community Development Association at the village of Nekla, Giza Governorate. The program includes 7 successive trainings at the rate of one training class each week, in order to improve the conditions and health of rural women and enable them to address the health hazards they are exposed to.
Training will begin today from 10:00 to 15:00, including a break for a half hour, at the youth center of Nekla village. Training days will begin as of Tuesday, 23 /10 /2007, until Tuesday, 4/12/2007.
20 trainees were selected on the basis of their experience, their work and their role in the local community in order to empower them and help them to transfer their expertise to the women of the village and neighboring villages. This program is for supporting rural women and enabling them to play their part in improving the conditions of economic and social rights of rural Egypt.
