El Hurreya association needs support

On 2/2/2007, LCHR has held a training workshop in the local society development association in El Hurreya village – Daqahleya. 50 people attended this meeting that included association members and a big number of the village leaders.
The meeting discussed how to define the village needs and what are the priorities that the association must deal with? The meeting has also discussed the strategic planning and activities of the association to improve the conditions of social and economic justice inside the village on the condition that every farmer in the village must contribute with something, like crops, property or even time.
The LCHR will undertake the responsibility of delivering farmers' voices to the decision makers and the media.
The meeting has also discussed how the association could approach the members of the People's Assembly in its constituency to adopt farmers' issues inside the People's Assembly.
LCHR will also train the association on how to make small projects and present them to the interested funding organizations.
3 farmers were chosen to take part in LCHR's meeting to be held at its headquarters in March 2007.
