The Egyptian farmer in the Egyptian Modern and contemporary Arts

The appearance and disappearance of the farmer in the Egyptian literary varies from a writer to another, and even varies within the texts of one writer; he may be highlighted in a text and fade in another, and the method of approach varies and differ from one method to another. There are no fixed rules in the modern and Contemporary Egyptian literature about the Egyptian peasant, or for his appearance in the literary text.
Texts also vary in the provision of the Egyptian peasant, and the image that appears by the Egyptian farmer, and their vision about his rights and issues. The different types of literature provided various literary personal genres about the Egyptian farmer in many forms and almost no genre is not having the Egyptian farmer-centered or subject matter or provide cross-put and monitoring. There is no genre singled out a particular expression for the farmer, and there is no genre prevented from eating the farmer and his world, and what that might be raised about that does not suit the novel and the rural world and the farmer, the words of the sender is not accurate, we have in modern Arabic literature and contemporary scores of novels that came to reflect and monitor the world of the farmer Egyptian, and quoted us a lot of the details of the rich world was unknown to some. As well as in the field of poetry, will find dozens of government offices classical poetry written in Arabic, or colloquial language, based on the rural world, and to provide the farmer. Despite the fact that colloquial Arabic closer to the Egyptian farmer; who barely know how to read and write; However, we find that poetry is written a little interest in providing the farmer and the expression of reality, or even to go to him with his speech, it is poetry isolated from the world of the farmer, produced and presented for poetry gourmets and critics, not to the Egyptian farmer.
In the short story, we have no groups of stories that revolve in the rural world, or reflect the reality of the Egyptian peasant and his concerns, as we find the story here and another there in the work of this writer or that one.
As The Land Centre believes in the great role of literature and the arts in people's lives and literature in particular, and in anticipation of it and looking for a better future; calls for this workshop, panel discussion, "The Egyptian farmer in the Egyptian Modern and contemporary Arts" across the three axis.
The first axis discusses "The farmer's relationship with the authorities through the literary portrayals," and how literary texts provided this relationship and monitored it in different literary genres. And how it represented the problems of Egyptian farmer in terms of being a citizen who has political and economic rights… etc The second axis; discusses "The social scene in the Egyptian countryside through the literary text", dealing with the vision of writers through its work for the scene of the social in the Egyptian countryside, and shifts the scene through the economic and political changes that took place in Egypt since the twentieth century until the present moment, and how writers dealt with the technical details of this transformed social scene through their creative scripts?
The third axis: opens the way for writers to submit their testimonies about their texts and their experience in rural communities and farmers and their visions of the countryside and the Egyptian peasant, and literary texts that dealt with this farmer and his world, under the title "Writers' Witnesses"
