In the Land Center meeting with dozens of peasants in El Ayat

The Land Center organized a meeting on Saturday, 11/3/2011 in El Ayat that was attended by dozens of farmers from the villages of the providence, and dealt with the dialogue on the status of the Egyptian countryside after the Revolution of January 25, and the developments that damage to the political system after the departure of Mubarak and his aides, and brought to trial on charges of corruption and bribery, and the seizure of public money, and the use of influence.
The participants noted the need to resist corruption at the local level, because the remnants of the former regime are still continuing in the ancient role in collaboration with local councils, which threatens the continuation of the revolution in improving the situation of the country and the cleaning and disinfection of the corrupted, and the discussions confirmed that the situation of agriculture is still dominated by corrupt has increased feed prices rates ranged from more than 20% after 25th of January and fertilizers prices are still high despite that manufacturing firms benefit from the raw materials and gas at low prices, and some participants emphasized that the companies that produce fertilizer is still controlled by the lords of this sector, and were able to circumvent the present Minister of Agriculture in collusion with the President of the Bank for Development and Agricultural Credit, for the reproduction of corruption and looting of the country, and the impoverishment of farmers again, and participants called for the need to build civil society organizations to open a file monopoly of fertilizer, seeds and pesticides, which are not less corrupt corruption sectors of steel, oil, sugar and textiles.
The participants agreed on the formation of the Association of Farmers in El Ayat, for their role in defending the interests of simple farmers, and to defend their rights in the sharing of wealth and power, and the elimination of the tails of corruption and tried to ensure the rights of peasants in the country free of oppression and corruption; a home for all the Egyptians that ensures safety, equality and freedom.
