A training workshop about farmers rights in political participation, in Dar El Salam – Sohag. 18th of December 2005

The LCHR has held a training workshop in Dar El Salam – Sohag governorate on the 18th of December 2005. the meeting has discussed farmers programs to develop their rural areas and their right in improving their economic, social and political conditions and the necessity of more democracy to be provided by the state to guarantee farmers rights in decent living.
The meeting has presented the laws of practicing political rights, especially those that organize the parliamentary electoral process, in addition to knowing the rights of researchers and representatives inside the electoral committees. The meeting has trained the participants on how to observe these elections, in addition to the role of poltical parties and national associations in supporting the right in participation.
The meeting has resulted in forming a working group that work on raising awareness and supervising the parliamentary elections, to guarantee a better choice when choosing members of the people's council freely and in a democratic way that guarantee representing farmers problems inside the council.
