A symposia about supporting the right in political participation in the Egyptian countryside, in Ezbet El Ahmar - Daqahleya. 15th of December 2005

The LCHR has held a symposia in Ezbet El Ahmar – Daqahleya governorate on the 15th of December 2005. the meeting has discussed the political, economic and social obstacles and citizens rights in political participation. Tee meetings has presented the political atmosphere that the country is passing though, in addition to resenting some of the laws and agreements that support the right in political participation and the role of the Egyptian parliament in the change process and in guaranteeing farmers rights, in addition to discussing the farmers role in pushing the change process to choose who can defend their rights. The meeting has resulted in forming a working group to organize the supervision process in the parliamentary elections, prepare reports and raise citizens awareness about their rights in political participation.
