A training workshop about the risks of free trade on farmers lives and conditions in Gohaina Youth Center – Sohag governorae. 1st of December 2005

The LCHR has held a training workshop in Sohag on the 1st of December 2005. more than 100 participants have attended this workshop which have included farmers, journalists and lawyers. The meetng was about teaching farmers about their legal rights in the Egyptian law, in addition o discussing the negative effects of international trade agreements on their lives and conditions, and the risks that they could face as a result of implementing the unfair free trade policies. In addition to discussing how these policies cannot solve the problems of world hunger and poverty, but they will lead to more deterioration of farmers rights. Then the meeting has presented some examples of these policies.
