A symposia about the risks of free trade in Gizzaya village – Giza governorate. 20th of November 2005

The LCHR has held a symposia in Gizzaya village – Giza governorate on the 20th of November 2005. More than 20 farmers have attended this meetings, in addition to some journalists and lawyers from the village and the villages surrounding it. it was about the risks of free trade and its' effects on farmers lives because of the unfair trade policies practiced by big countries and multinational companies to manage the world agrarian economy. The meeting has discussed the importance of supporting farmers in Egypt and solving their problems that have resulted of these policies adopted by the Egyptian government. The meeting has also discussed how to organize the village leaderships to form an association specialized to improve farmers conditions and help them in facing these risks.
