The people’s assembly elections and the political participation in El Manakh neighborhood – Port Said “symposium” 27th of October 2005

The LCHR has held a symposium on the 27th of October in Port Said. The participants have discussed the upcoming elections of the people’s assembly, the importance of political participation, a display of the general political climate in Egypt during this stage, the leaders role in making the people aware of their rights, the importance of hanging to them and nominating whom they consider being capable of improving their conditions. The participants have agreed upon the formation of a work team to cooperate with the LCHR to guarantee the integrity of the elections.
