Firing and Penalty in the Egyptian Labor Law

This pamphlet presents an overview about the new Egyptian labor law no. 12 for the year 2003. The pamphlet then presents the stipulations of applying penalties on workers and employees (in seven points)
And then the kind of penalties that can be applied on both male and female workers (in eight points).
Then the pamphlet highlights the the employer's authority in penalizing employees (explaining who has the right to apply what king of penalty).
After that it presents the cases where employees can be fired (in nine points, explaining that the ninth point that is related to strikes is divided in four points) and the amendments in the labor law in this regard (explaining that articles 70, 71 and 72 of the labor law have been amended in three points).
Then the pamphlet shows how compensations are calculated and their values for fired employees and workers.
At the end, the LCHR encourages both male and female workers to learn more about their legal rights, and get back to the specialized labor committee if they face any kind of violations.
