How can Fishermen Protect their Rights?

The world today is ruled by the free market mechanisms, which have made the fishing sector vulnerable weak and contradicting policies that are unable to protect fishermen's rights. So, how could fishermen improve their conditions?
First, they must know what are their problems? What are their legal rights? What are the different roles of the water surface police and the fishery wealth corporation and other cooperating associations in protecting natural resources and guaranteeing fishermen's rights?
Second, they must know how to resist and deal wih the violations that they face from different parties through collective and participatory work between all fishermen?
Third, they must participate in the decision making process by participating in all kinds of elections to manage their own affairs, which will not happen without extracting electoral cards and voting for the best man who can represent their interests in the different councils and protect their rights. Also fishermen have the right to establish unions and syndicate committees "that include 100 fishermen or more" that could defend their interests, improve the fishing process by marketing their fish, buying the fishing requirement and receiving small loans without interests, guarantee them social security and provide them with pensions when injured in an accident or retired.
Fishermen must organize themselves to enjoy these rights, and the LCHR calls all interested parties in the Egyptian civil society to help the farmers in guaranteeing their rights in participation, personal safety and decent living.
