The right of children workers for protection:

Children workers in Egypt are subject to many violations by their employers. They have no right to join trade unions or access to the benefits of healthcare, enjoyed by adult workers.

The Egyptian labour laws specify the minimum age for workers at fourteen years. However, the minimum age to join trade unions is specified at fifteen years, and eighteen years to enjoy the benefits of social and health insurance. The pamphlet points to the role of the governmental and civil institutions like ministries of education and insurance in the improving of working conditions for children. Finally, the pamphlet advises families of children workers to follow the proper legal measures to protect the rights of their children.
